Whether you are a teen looking for books and media to use on a school project, time playing Minecraft or Roblox, or you just need a good story to curl up with at the end of the day, the Pendleton Community Library can get you set up.

The Teen Room of the library is an area designed to encourage young adults between the ages of 12 and 18 to enrich their lives with knowledge, fun, and confidence.

Teens have opportunities to expand their horizons by utilizing our robust fiction collection and six "for teens only" PCs. Beyond our fiction collection, teens can also utilize the library’s interlibrary loan service to find the books that speak to them.

Through numerous group activities and programs, teenagers are able to thrive and interact with other teens. We want teens to enjoy their limited extracurricular time in an inclusive and positive environment. The library has two book clubs, a weekly gaming program, and an anime club that are only for teens.

Ultimately, the library wants to help usher teens into adulthood. Through community-focused activities, such as the Teen Advisory Board and the VolunTeen program, teens have numerous opportunities to give back while gaining real world skills. In 2017, the library will also usher in a new wave of programming designed to assist young adults into the realities of adulthood by laying a foundation of confidence, self-reliance, and independence.
