Are you a teen in grades 9-12, looking for a volunteer opportunity?
Look at these activities below to see if you might be a good fit for our VolunTEEN program at the Pendleton Community Public Library.
How many of these things do you enjoy doing?
- working on special projects and crafts
- participating in programs and events
- using technology and social media
- interacting with kids
- looking for long lost treasures
- organizing and collect things
- finding answers to questions
- teaching people new skills
- working outdoors
If you answered yes to four or more of the above, then you would probably make a great library volunteer. Serve your community, gain work experience, and fulfill needed volunteer hours at the library!
For the 2018 summer VolunTEEN session, we will be kicking off with a "Library Boot Camp." On Monday, June 4th, prospective VolunTEENs will get a behind-the-scenes look at each aspect of the library, including circulation, the children's department, the reference desk, and library programming for all ages. At the end of the boot camp, each participant will be able to attend a FREE pizza party along with the Teen Advisory Board. Click here to register for the "Library Boot Camp."
If you are unable to attend the "Library Boot Camp" on Monday, June 4th, new sessions start at the beginning of every semester. Visit the circulation desk to pick up an application and to learn more about our VolunTEEN program.
